Sketchbook Ideas - Alternative Ideas WIith Colour

I added colour to the skateboards I drew earlier using Photoshop.
I then experimented with Hue/Saturation for alternative colour schemes.

Two versions of the t-shirt on both black and white.

Here, I drew seven skateboards in fine line pen, alternatively positioned and sized to give variety.
This suggests Lost Art as a skate shop and the seven boards allow the shop name to be spelt out onto the back of the boards.


Added simple text to see how it would appear...could look better if placed seperate / below the illustration.

Logo Design

Logo for Lost Art t-shirt.
This was designed on Illustrator using the pen tool for a crisp look.

Sign Post Ideas - Updated

Sign post idea, updated with colour.
I have used brown / wood colours here, but could work equally as well with bright colours for a more playful appearance.

Cut-Out Letters - Ideas

I quickly added colour here to see how the image would appear.
I found that I needed to add colour around the cutline as this would be lost on the black t-shirt.

I will attempt to live-trace this in Illustrator and produce a clean-vector image.

I drew these ideas using fine liner pen for a strong outline.


Cut around the letters as appose to the letters.


This could be opened into Illustrator and applied to t-shirt as a vector image.

Sign Post Ideas

Initial sketch ideas for sign post.


I wanted to achieve a wooden-like sign post that showed Lost Art in two seperate directions.
Using fine liner pen would enable me to achieve a wood grain effect.


Final outcome, could be scanned in to add colour.

Same type style as previous, without the shading effect.

I then applied this to the t-shirt.

Eyechart Idea

Idea based on an eye-chart.
Lost Art biggest and clearly visible while the letters become smaller and fade into distance/top.

Handtype Idea

I drew this style of type and scanned into Photoshop to apply a monochromatic colour to enhance the 3D aspect of the type. This could be changed to work with a variety of different colour schemes to act as a theme of designs.

Splash Effect

This idea combines both vector and hand work.
The vector from previous posts of the skater placed within the splash of paint.
Designs could come in a variety of colours.

Registration Plate Ideas

Ideas for Lost Art beig on a registration plate.
These ideas could work nice visually hand drawn. Alternatively, they could be placed upon a skateboard rather than a car.

Here, I created my own 'skater' pictogram using Photoshop and Illustrator to give me a clean vector. The design can work also by inverting or using a mixture of colours.
